For immediate release: Friday, June 17 2011

Renault Romford’s Neil Grottick is preparing to take to the skies for a charity skydive this summer.

Neil, who is general sales manager at the Southend Arterial Road dealership, will throw himself out of a plane at the Headcorn Aerodrome in Shenley Road, Kent, on Saturday, August 6.

He is raising money for The Children’s Trust and has set himself a sponsorship target of £390.

Neil is relying on his fellow workers at Renault Romford to donate generously to the national charity which provides care, education and therapy to children and young people with multiple disabilities and complex health needs.

The 40-year-old has also invited his colleagues to the Headcorn Aerodrome to ‘hear him scream’ when he takes the plunge from 12,000 feet.

Neil said: “The Children’s Trust is a really worthwhile cause so I’m hoping people can donate as much money as they can because every penny counts. I’ve told the staff they are more than welcome to come along on the day to hear me scream! It’s my first skydive so I’m a bit scared but also very excited!”
