BRIDE VALLEY MOTORS OPENS ITS DOORS FOR RENAULT IN DORCHESTER!

A new car dealership opening in Winterbourne Abbas is set to serve all of the needs of Renault drivers across Dorset.

Bride Valley Motors is family-run and has been on its prominent A35 site since the early 1970s. It’s now been authorised by Renault to officially stock new and used Renault cars. The workshop and MOT testing area will now also cater for all makes and models.

The doors will re-open for business on Thursday, 30th June, with an official customer open weekend on Saturday 2nd July, and Sunday, 3rd July.

The new dealership will be overseen by managing director Mike Hankey. He said: “We’re very excited to be bringing the Renault name to the area. We have a wealth of expertise in looking after motorists in the county and are thrilled to be able to bring this knowledge to Renault drivers.

“Renault cars and vans are immensely popular across Dorset and Somerset thanks to their frugal engines and reputation for safety and reliability as well as comfort and style. We’ve opened our doors just in time for the summer meaning that our convertibles, the Wind Roadster and the Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet are certain to be firm favourites from the start!”

“We are delighted with the look and feel of our new showroom and look forward to inviting Renault customers to the official opening in July where we’ll be offering freebies such as free valets, MOTs and petrol. For the opening weekend, we’ll also be offering £250 cashback on any new or used car that’s purchased.”

RENAULT CANNOCK TO HOLD MOTABILITY AWARENESS DAY AT MORRISONS

Renault Cannock is holding a special Motability Awareness Day at Morrisons in Mill Street on June 24.

The dealership is holding the event to promote Motability,
a leading car scheme for disabled people, which offers those who receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) a brand new Renault every three years.

With an extensive range of models available through Motability, Renault Cannock will be showcasing the new Renault Scenic Dynamique TomTom outside the Morrisons supermarket in Cannock, from 9am.

Renault Motability specialist Ian Hudson-Innes will be on hand to advise visitors on how cars ordered through the scheme can be adapted to an individual’s requirements.

The adaptations can be a simple hand control and paddle modifications to more specialist conversions for wheelchair applications.

These are carried out by Converters who specialise in converting vehicles for Motability. The majority of the Converters have access to detailed technical information from Renault to assist them in converting the vehicle to high standards.

Those Converters who achieve the highest level of proficiency in their Conversion are awarded the prestigious Renault Accord Produit for their specific conversion.

Ian said: "This is a great opportunity for anybody interested in the Motability scheme to come along and see how these cars can be adapted to suit a disabled person's needs.

"It also gives people the chance to ask me questions about how the programme works and how it could change their life."

PARKS RENAULT EARNS ITS RACING STRIPES BY BECOMING A RENAULTSPORT SPECIALIST

NEWS FROM PARKS RENAULT IRVINE

For immediate release: Thursday, 16th June 2011

Parks Renault collected a special award this week after the dealership was officially recognised as a Renaultsport Specialist – making it one of only a select few in the UK to have earned such a status and the only one in Irvine.

The recognition was presented by Renault UK and now sees the Corsehill Mount Road dealership offer its customers a dedicated Renaultsport centre, providing hot hatch fans with all their Renaultsport needs in one place.

Alongside the dealership’s existing Renault services, motorists will be able to access all three award-winning Renaultsport models as well as call upon the expert knowledge and advice of Renaultsport Sales Expert Ross Dearie, himself an enthusiast of the French brand’s iconic performance arm.

Together with Ross, Aftersales Expert Jim Conway, will help provide customers with a bespoke Renaultsport after-care service handling all servicing, accessory and merchandise requests.

Ross and Jim can be contacted by new or existing customers to help answer any general Renaultsport queries they may have or to receive expert advice on either past or present models.

The current Renaultsport range comprises of the flagship Mégane Renaultsport 250, the Clio Renaultsport 200 and the Twingo Renaultsport 133. For the second consecutive year, all three models have won ‘Best Hot Hatch’ in each of their respective price categories in the annual What Car? Car of the Year awards with the Mégane Renaultsport 250 winning the overall ‘Best Hot Hatch’ of the year – again for the second year in a row.

Indeed, the popularity of the Renaultsport range is clear to see with last year’s worldwide sales seeing an increase of 78% (on 2009) with UK dealers only second to France in terms of total global sales.

Ross, Renaultsport Sales Expert at the dealership, said: “We’re really looking forward to showing customers around the Renaultsport range as we know they’re going to be just as impressed with them as we are...and the UK’s motoring press for that matter.

“It helps having some great driving roads in Irvine too, allowing owners to experience the full potential of the Renaultsport range and how impressive they are both on the road and the race track.”

Renaultsport Aftersales Expert Jim Conway said: “Our Renaultsport service extends right from the initial test drive through to caring for your Renaultsport in the future. All Renaultsport models are highly-tuned machines requiring that expert touch and genuine Renault parts so our approved workshop caters for just that.”

Ross added: “As part of our celebrations, we’re inviting local Renaultsport owners – be it an original Renaultsport Spider to a brand new Mégane Renaultsport 250 – to drop by the dealership for a free, no appointment, safety check for their car.”

FORMER CHIPPING NORTON SCHOOL PUPILS TAKE ON JAYBEE APPRENTICE ROLES

NEWS FROM RENAULT

For immediate release: Friday, 10th June 2011

FORMER CHIPPING NORTON SCHOOL PUPILS TAKE ON JAYBEE APPRENTICE ROLES

Two former Chipping Norton schoolpupils are proving that apprenticeships are still alive and well in the modern workplace after taking up roles at Jaybee Motors Renault in Banbury.

Ryan Hanks, aged 17, recently started at Jaybee as a parts apprentice while fellow Chipping Norton School alumnus Michael Nurden, aged 20, also from Chipping Norton, has just started his first year as an apprentice technician in the service department.

After leaving school, Ryan worked for another dealership, but moved to Jaybee
to start a three-year course with on-site training and classroom-based instruction delivered by VT Training - the UK’s largest work-based provider of government funded and commercial learning programmes.

His current job sees him working with parts deliveries, sorting out stock and dealing directly with Renault customers.

His colleague Michael left school and took up an apprenticeship in agricultural engineering but came to Jaybee on work experience and was offered a three-year training placement.

Colin Corne, Aftersales and Marketing Director at Jaybee Motors, said: “Staff training is a priority at Jaybee, and we see it as essential in ensuring that we offer our customers the very highest standards of customer care. Investing in apprentices’ training has brought enormous value to businesses such as ours by ensuring a high skill level, productivity and staff retention.”

Renault apprenticeships last three years and combine workshop experience at a Renault dealership with classroom training.

The apprenticeship leads to a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level Three technical certificate that is internationally recognised by the motor industry.

For more information, visit Jaybee Motors at Oxford Road, Bodicote, call 01295 227100 or visit www.jaybee.co.uk or look for Jaybee on Facebook and Twitter.
