NEWS FROM BELLS RENAULT

For immediate release: Tuesday, 2nd August 2011

A staff member at Renault dealer Bells of Crossgar has reached the finals of a national competition to find the best car paint technicians in the UK and Northern Ireland.

Rebecca Wilson, aged 18, from Ballynahinch, works at Renault dealer Bells of Crossgar and also studies at Mallusk training college Riverpark Training. It was Riverpark Training who nominated her to take part in the competition held by IMI Awards in the ‘Outstanding Technical Student – Paint category.’

She was one of three shortlisted in the category based on her achievement and progression, as well as her resourcefulness, enthusiasm and teamwork. She received her finalist certificate at IMI Awards’ annual outstanding achievers event which celebrates the achievements of automotive students and staff from IMI Awards approved centres.

The prestigious event, sponsored by Euro Car Parts, was held at Fanshaws in Hertfordshire recently and Rebecca was presented with her certificate and a cheque from HRH Prince Michael of Kent.

Prince Michael of Kent said: “I am delighted to present these awards as they provide an opportunity to showcase the hard work, dedication and true passion that exists within the automotive sector today.  I would also like to offer my personal congratulations to individuals and training providers; you should all feel extremely proud of your outstanding achievements.”
