NEW GENERAL MANAGER TAKES RENAULT LEICESTER FORWARD IN 2012

A family man with a wealth of experience in the motor industry, are words that best describe Renault Leicester’s new General Manager, Mervyn Hughes.
Mervyn, 43, has worked in senior managerial positions at car dealerships for over 22 years, and is now busy working alongside staff at the Abbey Lane showroom in his new role.
He said: “I am very excited by the Renault range and a new career challenge, as well as working in a busy city like Leicester. The latest Renault models and the offers we have at the dealership this month, are already paving a very positive path into the coming year.
“Customers can benefit from our new-look Twingo and the more economical and sharper looking Scénic range, as well as finding out more about the Kangoo Van Z.E, the award-winning electric
van we have recently launched at Renault Leicester.
“We are very proud to be one of the first ever Renault UK dealerships to sell electric vehicles, and I have joined the team here during a milestone for the brand.”
Mervyn, a father of one, believes continuing the high standards of customer satisfaction already in
place are a top priority, and with his wealth of experience in the industry he is well equipped to
answer the wide range of questions and issues people may have.
He said: “The staff here at Renault Leicester are great people, doing a brilliant job to a very high level, and this is something I intend to help them keep up. At the moment visitors can come in and talk to them about our range of cars, and also the fantastic customer care offer we have on at the moment.
“Anyone who buys a new Renault this month can take advantage of our 4+ deal which includes a comprehensive four year/100,000 mile warranty, four years/48,000 miles routine servicing, four years roadside cover and four years finance (HP, lease or PCP subject to status).
“If people come in and take a test drive in one of our new range they could also win cinema vouchers or Red Letter Day experiences.”
When Mervyn is not busy at the dealership he can be found with his wife Hazel, teaching his four-year-old son, Thomas, how to swim, play golf and kick around a football.
He added: “Renault has actually always been a favourite of Hazel’s family, and when I first met her both her parents had Renaults. Her mother owned a black Renault 5 for 15 years and her father had a black Renault 21 Turbo, so I know the family are glad I am now working here and looking forward to the possibility of buying something from the new range.”

Green drivers wanted for Clio challenge at Renault Prideaux, Barnstaple

Renault dealer Prideaux is gearing up for an eco-driving challenge where speed and time are not on the map.
The dealership in Coney Avenue, Barnstaple, is inviting customers to set the highest miles per gallon figure for its 13 mile course in the super green Renault Clio Expression+ dCi 88 with ECO pack, which can do 900 miles on a full tank.
The eco-driving challenge is the brainchild of sales manager Kevin Dummett and the winner will receive a family ticket to Cornwall’s Eden Project and the use of the low emission Clio, with eco pack branding, to drive there for the day.
Mr Dummett said: “We wanted to highlight just how many miles you can get out of the Clio and invite customers to see how economically they could drive it around our course, which starts and finishes at the dealership.
“It is a Top Gear style challenge but instead of driving the fastest lap, you have to record the highest mpg. We will have a leaderboard on display and the North Devon Journal will be supporting us by printing the results every other week.”
With CO2 emissions of just 94g/km and economy of almost 80mpg, as well as being London Congestion Charge exempt and zero road fund licence, the super-green Clio not only looks smart but is also a real money-saver.
Prideaux dealer principle Nick Williams will set the mark to beat when he completes the first lap on January 27, and it is then down to customers to prove they have the va va voom to drive the course more economically before the closing date of April 30, 2012.
Renault Clio Expression+ dCi 88 with ECO pack is packed with extras and comes with an on the road price of £12,450. To make the car even more appealing, the Clio and all new Renaults are eligible for the Renault 4+ programme, which launches on February 1. The tempting package offers all retail customers a comprehensive four-year/100,000 mile warranty, free routine servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years roadside cover and up to four years finance (lease or PCP, subject to status).

LUCKY FAN WINS RENAULT CLIO SIGNED BY RIHANNA

News from Renault LONDON WEST

For immediate release: 8th February, 2012

Rihanna fan Kerry De Jong was left stunned after realising she had won a brand new Renault signed by the singer herself.
Kerry, 35, won the white Renault Clio I-Music by entering a Facebook competition on the Clio Va Va Voom Facebook page and submitting her details into a prize draw.
Last week she was presented with keys to her new car, which is signed by Rihanna, at Renault London West.
She said: “I honestly couldn’t believe it when I first found out I had won the Clio I-Music, it was just before I went on my Christmas break that I got the news, an amazing early present.
“Renault staff tried contacting me to let me know that I had won the Renault Clio but as I had lost my phone it wasn’t until I went into work and checked my email that I found out.  I was really shocked, but very excited.”
Kerry, from Waterloo, said she had originally entered the competition to try and win some Rihanna tickets because her friends were already going to see the pop sensation in concert as part of her 2011 Loud tour, powered by Renault Va Va Voom.
She said: “Winning tickets to her concert at the O2 London arena in December was a bonus for me, but I don’t think I ever dreamt I would actually be the overall winner too and get a brand new Renault to drive away with.
“I haven’t actually owned a car since I was 18 as I have been living in London and didn’t think I needed one as much.
“But now I’ve got this Clio I-Music, I am really going to make the most of it and go for trips away at weekends and up to Scotland to show it off to my family.
“It is an absolutely amazing prize and I am thrilled to have been so lucky.”
The stylish new car was presented to Kerry by Sales Executive Paul Evans at the Renault London West showroom last week.
