A family man with a wealth of experience in the motor industry, are words that best describe Renault Leicester’s new General Manager, Mervyn Hughes.
Mervyn, 43, has worked in senior managerial positions at car dealerships for over 22 years, and is now busy working alongside staff at the Abbey Lane showroom in his new role.
He said: “I am very excited by the Renault range and a new career challenge, as well as working in a busy city like Leicester. The latest Renault models and the offers we have at the dealership this month, are already paving a very positive path into the coming year.

Mervyn, a father of one, believes continuing the high standards of customer satisfaction already in
place are a top priority, and with his wealth of experience in the industry he is well equipped to
answer the wide range of questions and issues people may have.
He said: “The staff here at Renault Leicester are great people, doing a brilliant job to a very high level, and this is something I intend to help them keep up. At the moment visitors can come in and talk to them about our range of cars, and also the fantastic customer care offer we have on at the moment.

When Mervyn is not busy at the dealership he can be found with his wife Hazel, teaching his four-year-old son, Thomas, how to swim, play golf and kick around a football.
He added: “Renault has actually always been a favourite of Hazel’s family, and when I first met her both her parents had Renaults. Her mother owned a black Renault 5 for 15 years and her father had a black Renault 21 Turbo, so I know the family are glad I am now working here and looking forward to the possibility of buying something from the new range.”
