RENAULT BOLTON SET TO GIVE MOTORSPORT FANS CHANCE TO SEE F1 CAR

News from Renault BOLTON

For immediate release: Wednesday 1st June, 2011

Renault Bolton will showcase a Formula One lotusrenault car at the Le Mans Motorsport Festival this weekend (June 11/12).

F1 fans will get the chance to get up close and personal to the 2011 car at the event which takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival is staged in commemoration of Bolton’s status as the twin town of the prestigious racing location of Le Mans.

Renault Bolton will be taking over part of the Market Place Shopping Centre and turning it into a Formula One-style paddock, featuring the only F1 race car simulator in the UK.

Visitors can race the Silverstone race circuit, competing against each other to reach the top of the leader board. Entrants will be asked to give a small donation, with all the proceeds going to a local charity.

Renault Bolton, based in Manchester Road, will also have a range of models on display throughout the week previous to the festival. The Festival has been organised by motorsport enthusiast, radio broadcaster and actor Jack Marsden for the second successive year.

Renault’s up-and-coming British Formula Three driver Oliver Webb, 20, is also set to attend the town-wide event.

Renault Bolton general sales manager Steve Parsley said: “We’re delighted to be involved in the Motorsport Festival this year. It is going to be a brilliant day out for all the family. The F1 simulator is ultra realistic and I’m sure it will be very popular with visitors on the day.

“Renault Bolton would like to thank Jack Marsden for all his hard work and Rod Neasham at The Market Place for inviting us to the F1 Paddock.”
