MITCHELLS RENAULT OFFERS DRIVING DAY AT BRESSINGHAM STEAM GARDENS

NEWS FROM MITCHELLS RENAULT

East Anglia’s most popular transport attraction Bressingham Steam and Gardens welcomed Mitchells Renault into its grounds this weekend to allow customers to test drive the latest Renault models, as well as getting up close to a real Renault Formula 1 car – all against the most fitting of backdrops.
Famed for its prized collection of steam engines, as well as its beautiful gardens and its connection to perennially-popular TV sitcom Dad’s Army, Bressingham was the perfect location for the ‘Ride and Drive’ event, as it is on the doorstep for Mitchells which has popular dealerships in both Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft.
Despite the unpredictable weather forecast, families came from across Norfolk and Suffolk to enjoy free entry into the attraction and to try out Renault cars and vans from Mitchells.
Garry and Jo Hollett from Norwich, along with their daughters Lola, aged three and Lilly, aged seven, enjoyed their day out by trying the Wind Roadster.
Garry said: “I’d never been to Bressingham as a kid myself so it was great to finally see it and take the girls - it’s such a lovely setting. Seeing an F1 car with a steam train going past in the background is a real eye-opener. The whole family had a whale of a time and the day was really well organised.”
Seven-year-old Josh Peck and his mum Toni travelled from Lowestoft to try out the Mégane Coupé Cabriolet and even managed to find a break in the weather to get the roof down. Toni said: “I came down with the whole family and we made a full day of it at Bressingham. We looked at all the cars and particularly liked the Mégane Cabriolet. The Mitchells staff were great and really attentive - we all had a lovely, really nice day.”
Matthew Huke-Jenner of Mitchells said: “Bressingham is a real celebration of the best of transport from the past and it’s a real honour to be able to take our cars there for a weekend every year. It’s also great to be able to give something back to our loyal customers by letting them enjoy a summer’s day out for the whole family.”
