Organisers of the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship today welcomed the arrival of NGK Spark Plugs as a new sponsor to the flourishing one-make series. | |
Already widely used across all forms of motorsport including Formula 1, NGK will be the official sparks plug supplier to the single-seater Championship, which begins on Easter weekend (23rd/24th April) at Donington Park in support of the ever-popular FIA European Truck Racing series.
NGK branding will also feature prominently on every Formula Renault BARC car in 2011 with decals located on the rear wing end plates beneath the race number.
Commenting on the announcement Tim Howes, Technical Services Manager at NGK, said: “NGK Spark Plugs currently supports a wide range of prestigious UK motorsport championships and we’re delighted to be able to add Formula Renault BARC to this portfolio. With packed grids and an appearance on the British Touring Car calendar, now is a great time to be joining the series and the team and I are very much looking forward to the opening rounds in two weeks time.”
Championship Promoter Simon North added: “We’re very pleased to be welcoming NGK Spark Plugs to the series and look forward to entertaining Tim and his guests in the Championship’s brand new hospitality suite.”
