RENAULT MANCHESTER SPONSORS GUITAR WORKSHOP DAY AT SCHOOL

news from renault manchester

For immediate release: Friday 3rd June, 2011

Renault Manchester brought music to the ears of teachers and pupils at the King's Grove School after agreeing to sponsor a free Guitar Workshop Day.

The generous donation from the Trinity Way dealership means the specialist school for business and enterprise is able to welcome international guitarist Gordon Dunn to the event which takes place at the Crewe school on June 24.

The day will see Mr Dunn, one of the most innovative and eclectic classical guitarists in the world, show teachers and pupils how to play a wide variety of guitar styles and techniques.

Mr Dunn has also composed a world premier piece of music for the day, which is open for teachers and pupils of all ages and levels, and starts at 10.30am until 3.15pm.

Renault Manchester parts manager Geoffrey Harrison presented a cheque to Kings Grove School music teacher Ruth Davies last week and is delighted the Salford dealership could help sponsor the event.

Mr Harrison said: "We're always interested in supporting local events and we're delighted to offer our help to the King's Grove School on this occasion. The free Guitar Workshop Day is a great opportunity for teachers and pupils to learn something new from a top guitarist. We hope lots of people turn up."
