BLACKBURN MOTOR PARK BRINGS VA VA VOOM BACK TO THE TOWN!

NEWS FROM BLACKBURN MOTOR PARK

For immediate publication: Tuesday, 3rd May 2011

One of the UK’s fastest-growing motor groups is bringing Va Va Voom back to Blackburn with the opening of a new Renault site in the heart of the town.

Blackburn Motor Park  will operate for Renault under the Cambria Group from a multi-franchise site on Pendle Street in Copy Nook at the beginning of May, joining 26 existing sites for the group across the country.

The Renault dealership is opening on the site of the former franchise and is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment to ensure it meets the latest corporate standards required by Renault. So far, 25 new jobs have been created in all areas of the business.

Blackburn Motor Park will offer the complete Renault range of cars and vans, including new convertibles the Wind Roadster and the Mégane Coupé-Cabriolet. Additionally, the site will include a full service department staffed by trained Renault Technicians including a Renault Technical Expert (RTE) which is the very highest level of expertise in the network.

The workshop hosts five ramps which will be complemented by an MOT centre which is set to open later this year.  There is also a fully-stocked parts department as well as a specialised local business sales expert who can offer guidance to firms of all sizes on their fleet requirements.

Blackburn Motor Park will offer Renault cars on the Motability Scheme which is available to people who receive either the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement. There are currently 400,000 people in the UK who have a car supplied through Motability, and thanks to its practicality, the Renault range is particularly suited to Motability customers.

Kevin Walsh has been appointed as the new sales manager and has a wealth of experience in the motor industry and previous experience with Renault. He is also a Blackburn local and knows many local motorists. He said: “The Blackburn area has been without a convenient Renault dealership for about six years so we’re excited to be bringing back some Va Va Voom!

“We’re opening our doors on Bank Holiday Monday (Monday, 2nd May) and we’re looking forward to driving the business forward with Renault. When we’ve settled in, we’ll be holding a special customer event to launch the business, so keep your eyes peeled on local press to find out more details!

“On our new site, we’re able to find customers the new or used Renault they’re looking for and also take care of servicing and maintenance.”
