.For immediate release: 6th February, 2012

This year marks a major milestone for Renault with the launch of electric vehicles, but 2012 is also very significant for Croydon General Manager, Andy Fisher, who celebrates 20 years with the French manufacturer this week.

Andy, who describes his career as being full of ‘positive change’, ‘happy’ and ‘exciting’ said he believes this year will be one of the best for Renault.

He said: “I have had two brilliant decades so far and have seen a lot of change in that time.
“But I think we are in really thrilling times now, the first electric vehicles are here and there is a lot to look forward to.”

Andy, who is also General Manager at Renault Orpington, started his career as a New Car Sales Executive at Renault Leeds, before being promoted to General Sales Manager at Renault Ilford five years later.

By 1999 he was working as the General Manager at Renault Romford and went on to be General Manager at Renault Croydon, for the first time, then Renault London City, Renault London East and then Renault Ilford.

It was in January 2011 that he went on to become General Manager of both Renault Croydon and Renault Orpington, the position he now holds.

One of his personal career highlights was also increasing customer satisfaction in after sales at Renault Ilford from 48 percent to above the national average.

He said: “It has been a very happy 20 years for me. I don’t think you stay working with the same company unless you are really content and enjoy what you do,
“Personal highlights include all the friends I have made, many of  whom still also work for Renault today.

“I just want to focus on moving forward with Renault Croydon and Orpington now, making them the best they can be and putting an emphasis on customer satisfaction.”
