NEWS FROM RENAULT LIVERPOOL

For immediate release: 7th February, 2012

Customers can benefit from the expertise of three electric vehicle specialists at Renault Liverpool as the dealership is now live with the highly-anticipated Kangoo Van Z.E.

Visitors to the Sefton Street showroom can find out more about the first Renault electric vehicle to go on sale, place an order or pick the brains of these on-site experts

The Kangoo Van Z.E has already scooped the International Van of the Year 2012 title and What Van? Magazine’s top prize, and is the world’s first electric light commercial vehicle (LCV) produced by a mass market manufacturer.

Sales Manager Nick Price, Fleet Sales Specialist Andrew Morris and Sales Executive Paul Sheridan have all undergone a fully comprehensive electric vehicle training programme to fulfil their roles as experts at the dealership.

Nick said: “Everything has really started to take off now, and we have been dealing with a great deal of enquiries about the Kangoo Van Z.E., which we are thrilled to have launched here.

“Andrew, Paul and I are on hand to answer questions from customers and help advise anyone interested in buying one of the new vans.

“The kind of details customers might want to find out about from us include the monthly battery hire plans to reduce concern over replacement costs and operation guarantees.

“The Kangoo Van Z.E. is very much a vehicle to appeal to businesses, and I think we will find different types of customer are attracted to different cars in the Renault electric vehicle range as they launch.

“When he start selling the Fluence Z.E or the Twizy in the showroom for instance, they will appeal more to individuals, people with different motoring needs.”

There are currently 21 dealerships that have invested in the infrastructure to allow them to showcase the Kangoo Van Z.E.

Staff at each of these dealers have undergone specialist preparation and technical training to address the demands of the new technology.

Renault Liverpool, like the other dealerships, has been fitted with new charging points with provider British Gas – one for the workshop and one for the car park. There will also be a charging point in the showroom to provide demonstrations to customers.

The Kangoo Van Z.E. starts at just £16,990 excluding VAT, with monthly battery hire from £60 (6,000 miles annual mileage over 3 years), and following the recent government announcement that the electric vehicle grant is now extended to include vans customers can now buy the standard version for as little as £13,592 excluding VAT and delivery. Leasing rates are available from £424.59 per month with battery life guarantee, roadside assistance and 100,000 mile warranty.
